READER BEWARE, this is my personal opinion. I don’t consider these songs to be the top 100 best songs of all time, just my favorites.
Back when I was in college I wrote for the school newspaper. Before getting in to the business of saving America, I wanted to write about music, and with the student newspaper I wrote a lot of music editorials. I did throwback album reviews, overrated band lists, underrated guitarist lists, and a lot more. Music has always been something I’ve really been into, and it all started with my brother and a sandisk mp3 player. I remember my brother and I would stay up late on his trips back to Colorado, one headphone each listening to all the new music he put on it. I remember when he would sit on the computer for hours, listening to new music, rediscovering old music and burning CD’s all while I just sat there next to him taking it all in. You see, my dad was never in the picture when I was a kid, so my older brother was the closest thing to a father I had, and the music we listened to brought us together. All of the songs on this list have a special place for me, and I would expect that you would have songs like that for you too.
Some things to notice: I don’t think it’s “anti conservative” to like rap music. As you can see, there is a good amount of hip-hop/rap on the list, and they’re on this list because they are good songs. I see the problems with rap culture in general, but the degeneracy of music today spans all genres, not just rap. That being said, my favorite hip-hop artist is Kanye West. He has four songs in just the top ten, and I can without a doubt say he has impacted my life more than any other musical artist.
There is a Spotify link at the bottom of the page where you can actually listen to all the music in this list aside from a few that aren’t on Spotify. With all that being said, enjoy the list and be sure to leave a comment with what you think, some of your favorites, and some I should check out!

Jim Croche makes the list twice and “The King” – Elvis Presley (Pronounced El-vis Pres-lee) doesn’t even get an entry. Very disappointing.

Mr. Shades should of made the list. I’m not joking, is that kid on YouTube or Spotify? Loved the laid back tune. Or I need to find a similar artist!
